PokeBonk Training: Progress, Benefits & Limits

Current source scope: Beta v0.7.3 · Checked October 19, 2026

THE QUICK ANSWER

There are two different Training systems. The Lab spends saved Stardust on permanent preparation, including its Training damage upgrade. In-run Training appears after moves and vitamins are fully upgraded and benefits that run. It is not another permanent Lab level and no longer grants the older advertised extra money.

Lab upgrades: benefits, levels and initial costs

Open Lab from the menu to spend saved Stardust. The table shows the nineteen current upgrades, their maximum levels and first purchase cost. Multi-level upgrades become more expensive; the initial price is not the full cost to maximize them. Vitamin slots cost 1,200 then 3,000, and Archive costs 800, 1,600 then 3,200. Other cost curves are not flat.

Choose a permanent upgrade for a specific constraint

If you need another equipped move, the 1,500-Stardust 4th move upgrade addresses that limit. The 3,000-Stardust Fourth option gives more offered cards instead. They solve different problems. Move capacity and offer count explains the distinction.

Refresh, Skip and Banish add uses per run rather than unlimited rerolls. Banish removes an option for the remainder of that run; Archive excludes selected pool items through its own slots. Support team adds one captured-Alpha slot, changing two to three. None of those purchases proves a particular item, Pokémon or offer will appear.

When in-run Training becomes available

The documented run system offers Training after all moves and vitamins are fully upgraded. It supplies additional combat bonuses for the remainder of that run; “permanent” in older run wording does not mean that the bonus becomes a saved Lab upgrade.

The v0.6.2 note describes diminishing gains, with a floor of one third of the first gain. A later note than the original Training introduction says it no longer gives extra money, so do not expect the old flat 15 PokéDollars. Patch #7 also addresses Training appearing too early or yielding zero. The live offer is the place to read the bonus actually being selected.

What to check before and after spending

Read the upgrade’s current level, effect, cost and your balance, then confirm the purchase in the Lab. Check that the level and balance changed as expected before beginning another run. This guide inspected the zero-level Lab menu but made no purchases, so it does not claim a tested refund or spending-recovery process.

Lab upgrades belong to saved progression. Protect guest progress before changing device or browser. If a cost or result differs, report the exact upgrade and displayed level instead of trying an account reset. Use build planning to relate a permanent upgrade to the next run’s actual needs.
